Since I've been on a classic space kick recently...

As you can probably glean from my recent posts, I have been on a Classic Space kick these past several weeks.  I've been working on my rebuild of the Mobile Lab set (which is very nearly complete).  Another thing that I decided to build was a Classic Space inspired rover.  It is done and I hope to post up a YouTube video with a full tour shortly.  As a preview, however, here is a quick photo of the build.  I went with the clear dome style canopies (as opposed to the trans-yellow often used in Classic Space builds) because I like the shaping.  But I did use the blue and grey color scheme otherwise and did still fit in just a tiny bit of the trans-yellow (as part of the container boxes).  

The rover features an ore drill that can be off loaded via the crane arm and several container boxes that are removable as well.  The front tires are steerable with a technic rack and pinion set up and the rear tires are all independently sprung so they will move up and down over obstacles (better for Moon rock crawling!).  Again, I should have a video posted showing the details in the rear future.
