Below is another space diarama of sorts. I imagined this as the intergalactic headquarters of the "Futuron" faction. Futuron was a LEGO Space subtheme from back in the 1980s. I wanted to build a skyscraper and the Space theme has always been among my favorite. So this build combines those. This build won "Best Individual Build" in the Large Displays category at Bricks by the Bay 2013. This is shown sitting on my dining room table before the Convention. There is only a bit of a view of the skyscraper tower. Sitting on top of my dining room table, it nearly reached the ceiling. I have only a few, not so good photos of this build. I never got any good photos taken of the final build at the convention. If anyone happens to have some good photos of the build taken at the convention, I'd love if you'd share them with me.
There was a plaza level with a large sculpture of the classic Space theme logo. The sidewalk of the plaza level had LED lights. To the left was the "research" building with an open roof so you could look down into it and see all of the rooms. On the right, you can see the base of the skyscrapers. I don't really have any good photos showing a nice shot of the full skyscraper. These photos were taken before the 2013 Bricks by the Bay convention and, in fact, the build was not quite done. The final version had more details filled in at the ground level, including a scene where it appeared that there were some utility workers dealing with a broken waterline under the sidewalk when they were actually a secret Blacktron special ops unit attempting a break out of a pair of Blacktron troops who had been captured and were held in the brig in the Futuron facility.
